Our Mission

Los Bomberos of Northern California is a non profit 501(C)(3) comprised of active and retired San Jose Fire Fighters. With the support of family, friends, and community members, we work to enrich the community we serve. Our volunteers are dedicated to make a positive impact to our local community through charitable acts, educational support, internal promotion, fire recruitment, and bilingual outreach. We use our resources to promote a stronger diverse fire service that reflects our community.

Our Biggest Event

Our largest annual event is our Holiday Toy Drive, where we collect, sort, and distribute toys to more than 2,500 children in our community. Through this program, we also provide school-age children with backpacks and school supplies to help them reach their educational goals. In addition, we offer recruitment and skill-building classes to local men and women to inspire interest in the fire service. Our organization remains actively involved in community groups and charitable initiatives that foster unity and strengthen community connections.
